Aboriginal Art – Coffin Art – Yindi Artz – De Greer Yindimincarlie

Aboriginal artist De Greer-Yindimincarlie from Yindi Artz was invited to participate in the ‘Tree change, sea change, coffin’s change’ exhibition funded through RADF and organised by Chris Dunn from Farewells with Flair. The exhibition will take place at the Butter Factory in Cooroy, QLD from 24th July 09 to 11th August 09. This is the process De undertook from blank coffin to complete work. These coffins are legal to use as a burial device in QLD and are made from 85% recycled cardboard. They can hold a person up to 120 kg and are eco friendly. They also meet all guidelines and laws for burial devices in QLD. You can view De’s other work at her gallery in Landsborough QLD, at 8 Caloundra St, or on her websites. www.bluehouseartgallery.com.au or www.yindiartz.com.au
