I not only would like websites to help teach me Hindi, but ways that I could learn by myself. I already know a lot, but not enough to be fluent in the language. Also, I have already tried the Rosetta Stone Demo & "Door Into Hindi." They are good but they aren’t the most effective tools. Please help.

We work on improving Hindi and Urdu on my yahoogroup,
huial, but the group does not accept lurkers, people who join must post occasionally. This way we are guaranteed to learn from eachother. It is for people who are familiar with the basic grammar rules of hindi and are looking for more in depth understanding of the language and who want to be able to write and speak in more sophisticated sentences than those taught in the basic grammar books.
I would recommend getting through the book "Teach Yourself Hindi" by Snell and Weightman or at least to have covered all the grammar in that book.
