any websites that i can find job as being a mandarin teacher?

i am a mandarin teacher in Taiwan..have taken 2 years to teach mandrin in crime school. can u tell me the website that i can find job oppertunities in US??( sure as being a mandrin teacher)

Thanks for help

Your best bet would probably be to contact the school boards in the US. Most school boards have a website that ends in k-12.edu, or something like that. There aren’t too many sites that advertise teaching positions across the US. I had found one, but I’ve forgotten it now.

Another possibility would be to apply to a placement agency such as International School Services or Search Associates. While the more often place American and other nationals in schools outside of the US, there are some international schools in the US. Some of those might be looking for Mandarin teachers.

By the way, you would most likely be teaching the simplified characters, not what is used in Taiwan.

I think maybe you mean "cram school," not "crime school."

Thousands of high schools in the US now offer formal classes in Chinese as a second language, so teh demand for teachers is high. To teach in most US high schools, you will need at least an undergraduate degree in Chinese, preferably a master’s degree. An undergrad degree in Chinese from a reputable school in Taiwan or China, plus a master’s in education from a US school is debatably the most desirable combination.

For sites that list teaching jobs, try searching on Google for "teach Mandarin job" or "teach Chinese job" (without the quotation marks).
